Befriend is a registered charity established in 1994, providing one to one volunteer befriending to support socially isolated people in the West London boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow.
The Befriend team and their guests recently came together at the William Hobbayne Centre to celebrate their 30th birthday and there were several distinguished guests, including the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Yvonne Johnson, the Mayor of Hounslow Councillor Karen Smith and the MP for Ealing North James Murray. There were speeches by BEfriend’s CEO Rachel Hill and their Chair of Trustees, Julia Macrae.

The team prepared a vintage tea party and we were delighted to be able to loan them our vintage tea set. It was a day for all the Befriendees, volunteers, BEfriend staff and distinguished guests, to chat, dance and eat some lovely food to mark the special occasion.
Well done BEfriend – keep up the fantastic work you do in the community.
