The fantastic team from Haven Wood who manage the William Hobbayne Half Acre Field had a wonderful summer. They delivered 15 forest school sessions for children with learning difficulties. Throughout the summer they also delivered forest school activities for children aged 7 – 11. They offered yoga and gong bath sessions in this beautiful woodland oasis. They continue to maintain the site, keeping it free of litter and ensure that the area is managed with problems reported. The sight lines have been improved over recent years with the support of volunteers and local rangers. This allows local residents and dog walkers an easier passage through the wood. The increased use of the site has reduced anti-social behaviour, drug use and rough sleeping. The team are able to support and report to Streetlink and St Mungo's homeless charity all those who need help.
