As recipients of the 2022 Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service the team were invited along with five other Ealing groups who had either received the Queen’s or King’s Award for Voluntary Service to meet King Charles on his visit to Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre. The team prepared a presentation which included historical documentation exhibiting how the charity has supported the community for many centuries. The team had the opportunity to speak with the King and described how the work of the Charity continues in a very different world to the one William Hobbayne lived in but also how the Charity continues to deliver on his legacy for those in Need, Hardship or Distress.
